Maybe Billy Boy should just stick with bartending?

Child labor advocates versus Pit Bull advocates? Jeesh… I seriously feel sorry for his daughter if this is how Billy boy explains the issues with the child labor practices of Myanmar.

“The police in Myanmar force children into the military by saying that if they do not have ID they will either go to jail or go to the military.”- Burma UN service office- New York

Never once have I heard a pit bull advocate force a single person into adopting a pit bull/pit bull type dog. I’m pretty sure it would be plastered all over the news if rescues were rounding up people by armed police and forcing them to adopt these dogs. It always amazes me how morons (like William Johnson) who attempt to compare willing dog ownership to something as atrocious and criminal as child labor practices. What worries me is that he’s filling his daughters head with the same nonsense. Does he want his daughter to be a middle aged bartender who does nothing but harass people that won’t pay for his own failures? Maybe I’m being too harsh- maybe he just doesn’t understand what child labor practices cover? Maybe a partial education in hotel  and restraint management at Community College of Philadelphia didn’t cover this?

Child labor refers to the employment of children in any work that deprives children of their childhood, interferes with their ability to attend regular school, and that is mentally, physically, socially or morally dangerous and harmful”International Labour Organisation. 2012.

The majority of the time, child labor means that the child is being enslaved, separated from their families and exposed to some of the worst conditions and/or left to take care of themselves in cities at a early age.

Worst forms of Child labor according to the ILO ( International Labour Organization):

  • All forms of slavery or practices similar to slavery, such as the sale and trafficking of children, debt bondage and serfdom and forced or compulsory labour, including forced or compulsory recruitment of children for use in armed conflict.
  •  The use, procuring or offering of a child for prostitution, for the production of pornography or for pornographic performances.
  • The use, procuring or offering of a child for illicit activities, in particular for the production and trafficking of drugs as defined in the relevant international treaties
  • Work which, by its nature or the circumstances in which it is carried out, is likely to harm the health, safety or morals of children

I’m not sure what any of THAT has to do with pit bull advocacy. Last time I checked, the Pit Bull advocacy promotes safe, responsible and healthy ownership. I mean, William and his fellow morons love to point out BADRAP stating that the “Nanny Myth” is incorrect, in fact- if you actually take the time to research beyond Wikipedia, you will find out that the pit bull advocacy as a collective whole is a endless amount of information to help potential dog owners decide if a pit type dog is for them.  Here are just some of the great examples:

1. Terms and phrases we strongly urge you to avoid:

-Bait dog
-“Pit Bulls are great dogs when raised right!”
-“It’s all how you raise them.”
-“Pit Bulls are a dog-aggressive breed” or “Pit Bulls are genetically prone to aggression” (aggression is a behavior, not a trait!)
-“There is no such thing as a pit bull”
-Bully breed or Pit bull type dog (meaningless terms with no clear definitions or usage-boundaries)- The Real Pit Bull Blog

2. Pros and Cons of adopting this wonderful breed
: So You Wanna Adopt a Pit Bull Factsheet –

3. Don’t Pit Bulls have to be TRAINED TO FIGHT?

NO!  Pit bulls are terriers, and terriers tend to be scrappy with other animals if unsocialized, poorly managed or otherwise left to their own devices. Just as farmers have used Jack Russell Terriers to do battle with badgers, foxes and other animals, unscrupulous people have exploited the terrier drive in pit bulls against other dogs for ‘entertainment’ purposes.

Like any breed of dog, pit bulls can run the gamut from very dog aggressive to exceptionally dog friendly and each dog shares some potential to fight other dogs if mismanaged. Avoiding dog fights involves understanding terrier traits and basic canine behavior in general. –

4.  In all dog breeds, dog tolerance levels can range from very dog social to very dog aggressive. Most well socialized pit bulls fall somewhere in the middle. Even with the big help of socialization and obedience training, this confident breed can be pushed to fight if sufficiently challenged by another dog. This bravado can bring you trouble if not understood and not managed well, especially in today’s anti-pit bull climate.

To make things even more confusing, dog tolerance levels can shift. Late maturing puppies can lose their forgiving nature as they grow older, catching many dog owners by surprise. In other cases, dog aggressive adults can become much more dog tolerant with training and proper socializing opportunities.

Dog tolerance comes from a blend of nature and nurture and is influenced by a dog’s genetics, socialization, training and owner management … not “How he was raised.” You ultimately hold the key to your dog’s success with other dogs.  –

So, once again- I really have to call William’s credibility not only as a parent but as a person with functioning brain cells.

I have to ask…. what does child slavery, child prostitution, child soldiers, and child trafficking have anything to do with promoting safe, responsible and healthy dog ownership? Not a damn thing and I have no issue advocating for my dog and millions of others that will grow to never hurt a soul. Can’t say the same for BSL advocates… seems like they are the ones wanting and wishing for violence-

Someone help these people….

  1. Yuck, YUCK, YUUUUUCK!!!

Once again, you’ve caught them actively hoping for a dog to maul someone (Rick Fite’s comment).

Random example: I hope that people monitor themselves for signs of skin cancer because two people I was close to died of that horrible disease, both at a very young age. I DON’T hope that someone gets skin cancer to “raise awareness” of it.

How do these guys not get how sick it is to wish pain and death on people?

  2. He seriously compared being a responsible pit bull owner and advocate to a country that uses child labor. Child labor….where thousands upon thousand if children lose their childhood and still live in abject poverty. For someone who is always pointing out that pit bull owners *supposedly* lack critical thinking skills he certainly does show an amazing lack of these skills himself.
Such a perfect last name…too bad his parents didn’t name him Richard!
what an absolutely appalling statement by that Rick person!! Geez Louise that is just a pathetic exampke of advocacy right there.

  3. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! You apparently have his profession incorrect. He is a *Hospitality Industry Professional*! HAHAHAHAHA!! AS IF!!! REALLY…you are a salaried waiter in a Michelin 5-star rated restaurant??? You are a bartender in a bar with seemingly questionable ratings.

  4. In response to the first poster’s question: How do these guys not get how sick it is to wish pain and death on people?

I think that’s because they are all sociopaths that secretly (and openly) crave seeing death and destruction. In fact they actually seek it out by setting their browsers to capture any story of death by animals. I’m certain they’ll say they are being advocates for their cause but i personally think their cause is their own delight in ghoulishness. Can you imagine the rush these people must get when they think they are the first to post a death? Sicko. Just plain sicko.

Although I tend to disagree with points #1, #6 and #8 when it comes to the pit bull haters, all the other points are pretty bang on in this article.
