Thanksgiving is here and no matter how dirty it gets in the pit of BSL advocacy- I know just how blessed I truly am. When I am dealing with some of the sociopathic soul sucking people that inhabit the ranks of Dogsbite.org it really drives home just how blessed I am.

I realize how blessed I am when my toddler wakes me up with a finger in the eye. I realize just how blessed I am when I have to drag my tween out of bed so she’s not late to school. I understand that some mothers & fathers don’t get to do that and my heart aches for them.

Each and everyday- I understand just how blessed I am when I step on a cheerio left in the middle of the floor while I listen to “Who lives in a pineapple under the sea…” I know that not every parent can do that anymore and my heart aches for them.

For every birthday, every pumpkin carved, back pack packed, sippy cup made, juice poured, clothes folded- I am blessed. I know that is not possible anymore for some parents and my heart hurts for them.

I also know how blessed I am to have a partner by my side who understands my fight. Who listens to me, who laughs with me, rages with me, cries with me- I’m just so blessed to have a Husband that just gets me 100% of the time. I know not everyone has that and my heart is heavy for them.

From White chocolate mocha iced coffees to the zoo- I’m pretty darn blessed with everything I get to do.

I don’t take anything for granted because I see people who have lost EVERYTHING.

It’s Thanksgiving and I can’t even count everything I’m thankful for because that list is never ending.
